Can I bring my own food?
Yes, guests are welcome (and encouraged) to bring their own food and beverages. You do not need to place a catering order or purchase a full table to enjoy your own meal at Jazz Under the Stars. Please review the FAQs below regarding acceptable cooler sizes.
Can I bring my own chair?
Please leave your lawn chairs at home — assigned seating is provided at linen-covered tables.
Will the event be postponed if it rains?
No. The event will take place, rain or shine. Follow our weather related updates here.

Can I bring an umbrella?

Yes, rain umbrellas are allowed, and we encourage guests to have one handy.

Small, folding umbrellas without metal pointed tops are permitted. Large umbrellas, such as picnic, beach, golf, and table umbrellas, are not allowed as they may obstruct the view of other attendees.

When do the gates open?

Gates open at 5pm on Saturday, May 3, 2025

Is there general seating available for individual ticket holders?

Yes, individual ticket holders have access to general seating. Seating will be provided at assigned tables to ensure the comfort and enjoyment of all attendees.

Can we bring lawn chairs and sit in front of the stage?

No, lawn chairs are not permitted. Seating will be provided at assigned tables.

Can I bring a cooler?

Yes, please feel free to bring a small to medium-sized cooler.

Can I bring a grill?

Grills are not allowed under any circumstances. Food must be prepared in advance.

Are open flames (candles, sternos, etc.) allowed at the event?

For safety reasons, open flames—including candles, sternos, and any other fire-based heat sources—are not permitted. Only flameless, battery-operated candles are allowed

I have an external catering order being delivered. What time can they arrive?

Caterers can arrive between 5-6:15pm and must leave the concert area by 6:15 pm. Drop off on corner of Atlanta Student Movement Blvd SW & SNNC Way (Raymond St SW) view in Google Maps

Who will be performing at the 2025 Annual Jazz Under The Stars event?

This year’s event will feature two time Grammy nominated singer, songwriter, producer/ artist Eric Roberson along with the Clark Atlanta University Jazz Vocal Ensemble and Clark Atlanta University Jazz Orchestra. Learn more about Eric Roberson here.

Need Catering?

Catering orders are no longer being accepted as of Friday, April 25.
On-campus catering is available through Sodexo. Please visit the following link to review the menu and place your order by April 25, 2025. View menu and place order.

Will ice and beverages be available for purchase?

No. However, all tables will receive one (1) complimentary bucket of ice, soft drinks, and water.

When will tickets go on sale?

Tickets for the general public went on sale March 23. Purchase tickets here

Is Jazz Under the Stars a smoke-free event?

Yes. Smoking is not allowed on the campus of Clark Atlanta University.

Are weapons allowed?

No weapons are allowed on the entire campus of Clark Atlanta University.

Are Children Allowed?

Children are welcome to attend, but please be aware that it may not end until 10:30 PM.
